Tours of the facility are

The Clinch-Powell Community
Kitchens are fully equipped and laid out for efficient production of
food and farm products.
Facilties include:
Preparation Area
with sinks, work tables, and heavy duty commercial
equipment for peeling, coring, chopping, pulping, mixing and other
preparation of vegetable and fruit materials.
Processing Area
with new 60-gallon and 40-gallon steam jacketed
kettles (can be used in tandem), 40-gallon tilt braising pan,
commercial range and oven, convection oven, precision container filling
machine, automatic labeling machine, and equipment for testing acidity
and water activity of food products. Reach-in cooler, freezer,
and automatic dishwasher are located in this area.
Storage Area
with extensive dry storage including shelving and
1600 cubic foot walk-in cooler/freezer. A special blast freezer
allows extra-fast freezing for better preservation of taste and
consistency of product.
Office Area
includes a library and product display of materials
on containers, labels and label requirements, ingredient suppliers, and
an internet-connected computer lab with seven workstations.
Computer-based nutritional analysis, labeling, and high-quality
printing of promotional materials is also available.
